The\u00a0new privacy policy\u00a0launched by Apple Inc.\u00a02021, requires all apps to use the ATT framework and developers must first seek user consent before they could store user\u2019s \u00a0information. Since the vast majority of users would refuse the ad tracking, resulting in companies that rely on data for marketing not having access to user-level information (especially click id, IP, device id) for accurate conversion attribution. To solve this problem, Offerslook has introduced the Probabilistic Attribution\u00a0solution with no click id in Advanced Privacy mode.<\/span><\/p>\n

What has changed<\/b><\/strong>?<\/b><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

We created\u00a0new parameters {sub_source}\u00a0and {adv_source}\u00a0to get the\u00a0affiliate end\u2019s\u00a0offer id and affiliate id for the Probabilistic Attribution.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why this is required?<\/b><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Because advertisers\u00a0will not send click id so we need offer\u00a0id and affiliate\u00a0id to track conversion on Offerslook\u2019s panel.<\/span><\/p>\n

And we need affiliate\u00a0end\u2019s offer\u00a0id and affiliate\u00a0id as well\u00a0so as to pass the ids to affiliate for affiliate end\u2019s attribution.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the process of Probabilistic Attribution?<\/b><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

  • Add {sub_source} to the tracking link to capture the affiliate end\u2019s offer id and affiliate id.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • After adding {sub_source} to the destination URL, when system sends clicks to advertisers, by identifying the iOS traffic with macro {sub_source}, the system will automatically adds Offerslook end\u2019s offer id and affiliate id and encrypt them with affiliate end\u2019s offer id and affiliate id to advertisers.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Add {adv_source} to the postback to receive the value of {sub_source} passed by advertiser and send it to affiliate after decryption.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
